OOC - Rancor Pit (OoC Chat)
It seems like the site was hit by multiple people dealing with new babies or school so their gaming has been cut back.  They've said they want to come back but until they do it will be a little slow.

But feel free to ask questions or post amusing things in here.  We're all pretty friendly and will fairly quickly if we can.

Didn't mean to imply it's too slow lol. Just used to active ooc is all. But that could also be cuz all of my irl groups have had Facebook or discord chats

What kind of droid are you?  What are your favorite droids?

This is my first droid.  Do you have any suggestions on how to build a droid?

I based it off of the H1-ME battle mechanic droid, except built it in a medium size rather than small as a custom droid. And as for building, with you being a small droid, everything costs twice as much for you, and you've got lower limits on what you can carry, so make sure what you have is what you need. Don't waste creds or capacity on things that don't help you fulfill exactly what you're doing. However, you do have an advantage over organics, in that you can swaps items back and forth. And that basically equates to a human switching their eyes for prosthetics, or implanting a blaster in their arm. Not to mention, you can reprogram skills without taking extended retraining times.

Like MK, Zero is also Medium size.  And now that you're here I was considering ditching Skill training: Mechanic.  The only reason why I picked it up was due to our other droid leaving so we needed one.

Once MK is free, and things aren't life or death, Zero could always ask MK to reprogram that into another skill if youd rather another skill

That would make thinks much easier.  Smile  I heard something about being able to increase ability scores too.  Is that true?

I believe at level 4 you can increase two ability scores by 1 each. Not sure if the DM would allow the Tech Specialist feat's droid improvements to be applied to player character droids though.

As you said, it would be up to the GM but...  I don't see anything that prohibits PC Droids from gaining the benefits.  Also it was the GM who told me droids could increase ability scores but I wasn't sure where he found the information.  Now I've found where he got the info thanks to your reply.  So unless the GM has changed his mind it will likely be alright because it kind of makes sense that a droid could be upgraded easier than a human.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
