[IC] New Crobuzon & the World Beyond
Upon hearing the yelp, Selina’s eyes grow as wide as dinner plates. ANGRY dinner plates.  She rounds on the guard who dared to abuse HER dog, grabs his face in her gauntleted palm, and brings him face to face with her.  In a deadly calm voice, she simply says:


“Do. Not. Do that again.”

[[No action threatening glare]]

That being done, she drops her crossbow in front of the hound and scratches it behind the ears again as she reaches down to grab her greatsword.

[[No action pet the pooch. Retrieve sword...also no action??]]

She glares at the no-longer-Invisible Stalker stalking poor Ningalu and points at it.

“Preying upon those weaker than you are?  You are naught but a bully.  Fight ME!”

She makes her way through the crowd, expecting them to part for an angry cleric with a six-foot long blade.  Ignoring any danger, she gets right up close to it and, with a resounding cry of “To Me!” 

Attack: [1d20+6] = 16+6 = 22; Damage: [2d8+1] = 6+1 = 7

...slams the edge of her blade down through it.

[[Leading the Attack: 7 damage, and all allies gain a +4 morale bonus to any attack rolls against the Stalker.  Additionally, Stalker now takes -4 to attacks against anyone except Selina.]]

[OoC if you yell your warning when you drink your potion I can take my action instead of losing it for that turn. Then still go after your Leading the Attack because my initiative order will get modified to after you. ]

[[Yes, you can point it out last turn.  Speech is technically an Immediate action because you can talk even on other player's turns.]]

OOC - by the spirit of it, it was "readying an action AFTER something" but by the rules, you can't do that. You can treat it as a "delay" indeed.
OOC2 - if we are still in the after-breakfast-brief scene then Nacesh has his spear downstairs... so forget about that, but let's presume he's just realised that and his turn was lost.
OOC3 - trying to recalculate Nacesh' spells.

Round 6 - Selina's commanding voice snaps Nacesh out of his reverie and he considers the situation. There's no way in this chaotic battle that the chances of the quick win would justify the risk. If they use blur and invisibility, so shall a proper sorcerer adapt his strategy. He retrieves his wand he used against Unreth and fires bolts of magic towards Mephit 2 (I4)
OOC - I recall the wand was either CL3 or 3 missiles. Rolling separately so that you can choose. My sheet says 4 (now 5) of 7+5 charges used, I believe it was recharged with 5 charges?

Simon pulls out of his pouch a small glass vial and with the flick of his thumb he unstoppers it and swallows its contents.

Betimi, I assume you are delaying for Selina to show you where to shoot.  Readying would mean you're trying to shoot a split second before she shows you.  Which doesn't help you at all...

Ning swallows a potion after being breathed on [ He is currently at 8 damage taken or 9hp's ]

While the original guards stay close to Selina [Delaying], one of them yell, 'The Sergeant is down and he looks bad!'  Then five more reserve guards come running up the stairs ready for battle.  As they charge onto the deck, the unseen creature takes advantage of their lack of awareness of what was going on and starts bashing them with Attacks of Opportunity.  From out of no where, all of the guards are met by punishing blows that nearly beat them half to death! [Guard6: 10 damage!]; [Guard7: 7 damage!]; [Guard8: 15 Damage]; [Guard9: 13 Damage!]; [Guard10: 10 Damage!]

[OoC: Picking up your sword is actually a move action.   Confused  Then walking to the creature is a move action.  Sad   But, just cuz I think it's cool...]

Selina warns the guard to leave her pooch alone.  She then goes to bend down to pick up her sword but is surprised to find the hilt within easy reach.  Apparently her dog thought she was playing fetch and had retrieved Selina's sword from the ground and was obediently waiting for her to retrieve the blade.  The Crusader takes the sword and strides toward the creature announcing, "Preying upon those weaker than you are?  You are naught but a bully.  Fight ME!"  She then hacks into it, thankful it had no more AoO!  The creature howls like a gale force wind in anger and pain!

[OoC: Betimi, goes.  You all get gets +4 to hit from, Leading the Attack and +1 from Dark Knowledge for a total of +5. Bless and Leading the Attack are both Morale bonuses so you only get the +4 from, Leading the Attack.  Remember 50% miss change.  Then Guards 2-5 go.]

[OoC2: Why does the creature get a -4 to hit anyone except Selina.  I'm sure you mentioned it but I can't seem to find the information.  I think it had something to do with her saying, TO ME! ]

[OoC2: the Stalker is now within Selina’s threatened area and she still has Iron Guard’s Glare active.  If the Stalker wants to attack anyone other than Selina, it eats a -4 penalty.  This was why I wanted to get the stance active so soon.]

It makes 5 attacks of opportunity.. Combat Reflexes?

Miss chance redo [1d100] = 66
scoring the creature's elemental form with an invisible acid burn.
