[OOC] Return to the Rusty Rat
(05-15-2018, 11:01 AM)DM Surranó Wrote: well, there is a rule for repairing broken items, I guess 1/3 market price in raw mat. needed for fix.
I believe the 1/3 price tag would be creating an item from scratch.  Using your shield to block an attack from a raging barbarian might snap the straps or cave it in but most of the materials are still there.  The straps might just need to be replaced or getting someone to bash the shield back into shape.

Could a wizard, use shields even though he's not proficient, to absorb more damage than his hp could? Then simply mend the broken shields? Could weapons be used in a similar manner to block attacks? I guess that just falls under fluff and fighting defensively rules..

God points there. I could imagine some feat that's quite the opposite of sunder, i.e. sacrifice weapon. But is it feasible? Like, blocking a spear attack with a rapier? Maybe like this: as an immediate action, make a sunder attempt and if you succeed then you sundered your own weapon. Damage taken by your weapon is then reduces damage you take by same amount.

Sorry for being absent another week. I was away at Ft. Pickett with no internet connection.

"sg" and "sy" are the (correct) dictionary abbreviations of "something" and "somebody", at least in Hungarian-English dictionaries but I thought they were official Cambridge and/or Oxford notation. Apparently they aren't. For the record, incorrect abbreviations include "sth", "sb", and even "so" ("someone") which is particularly confusing.
On the other hand, "SG" in our game is just natural to refer to Silent Giant but let's keep this in OOC context only.

Hereby I explicitly ask people to avoid abbreviations in IC context, especially in dialogues.

Sorry for the abbreviation but I mainly use 7 different devices (2 laptops , 2 desktops, 1 tablet, 2 phones), if I use the latter I mainly try to post short messages.

(All of my english teachers used that so this is a common mistake in Hungary.)

I learn something new everyday! Never knew that, or I forgot it along the waySmile

I don't know about incredibles but yes this was a ranged touch, no save. Even your trap sense haven't saved you against an attack that hit....
... AC34 ...

You are right about pinned vs tied-up, we have a situation currently where the party tied up a (tiny) dragon.

It's strictly ooc info but OTOH the goo is strong enough to entangle any creature up to Gargantuan I guess. The creature is medium btw, and Koriolis is... well, you'll see Smile

Everyone, please post your first turn along with init, the opponent is at 10.

Hm, we have gathered some false information or he is not Koriolis or we are in the past Smile
Could Zel recognize him as his jailor?

We also know somebody controls him..... from underdark....?

Hint action for NPC spellcasters, enlarge SG...??

Those managing an arcana check dc15 can tell this is definitely no green dragon, more like some sort of drake.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
