((Yes, Ma'am! ))
The trek begins with the doors of Oleg's trading post closing behind you, leaving Oleg and Svetlana in the hands of Kesten Garess and his cadre. The Stolen Lands lies in front of you, an open expanse of pristine wilderness just waiting to show you what it has in store for you. Tales of this land run rampant in your minds, filled with legend, myth, fantasy...and perhaps some fiction as well. To the south and west lie the Narlmarches, a vast untamed forest. Directly south are the Kamelands, rocky hillsides filled with the echoes of days long past. This land is ready to be tamed. Where do you go first? ((You are currently outside Oleg's trading post, which is at the point of the joined roads in hex B10.))

((It depends entirely on the speed you use in traveling through and/or exploring the hex. At 30 feet, traveling through a plains like hex B10 takes about 5 hours, while full exploration takes a day. Each hex is approximately 12 miles from corner to opposite corner and encompasses roughly 350 miles.
The entirety of the Stolen Lands stretches on for about 35,000 square miles, roughly equivalent to the state of Maine.))

"We should explore the immediate area first. After that we can return to the Trading Post for the night, establishing the idea in Kesten's mind that we intend to return each night will keep him cautious. After that I propse we start with the hills if we are looking for kobold."

Happs strokes his chin as Valdi forges a plan, nodding briefly at the first part, as he doesn't know Garess either, but then his face curls in a grimace at the second.
"Not to be...contrary...but the Kobolds are about 30 or so miles away. That's more'n a day's travel just to get there. We might have to camp out in the Kamelands for a night or two." |
