Wild Card

Long makes a catalog of these parts just as a side note, he remains focused on the task at hand, getting what he needs to get the Shield generator functioning. He also periodically (every 10 seconds) flips through the ships cameras to see if anyone has entered the now airless docking facility.

While struggling with the repairs and monitoring the camera systems, Long notices the door to the Captain's quarters is half opening and closing repeatedly. The lights in the corridor are flickering, when they dim he can see that there is something bright inside. Long wonders if he may have crossed wires somewhere but quickly realizes he has followed the repairs according to XS-800 ship schematics, there is something else going on.

Long readies his stun arm and buzz saw arms and wheels over to the doors to the Captain's quarters. risking the temporary delay in the repairs to handle this new potential threat.

All is quiet, except for the sound of Long's tracks rolling over the grated floor, as he approaches the possessed door. The light is bright emanating from the room and shifts or blinks in colors. The door hisses and opens half way once more, Long spots a pair of furry feet lying on a bunk. The door closes within a few inches of the bulkhead, then opens again, and this time Long notices cables and a spilled goo on the floor...

Long wheels a silently as possible up tonthe door and extends his long neck to pop his swiveled head around the door as it opens, just half a meter above the floor level, likely lower than anyone would have a blaster aimed.
He hopes.

The small droid wheels so silently closer to the door that it can hear the vibration of electricity coursing through the ship. Peeking his elongated head into the room for the briefest of seconds, Long sees a female Bothan lying on the Captain's bunk. Life support tubes run into her mouth and makeshift bacta patches are wrapped around her body, but they leak a mess onto the floor....

Long gives an inquisitive Binary chirp, then rolls back to the nearest Scomp link.

He plugs himself in and begins a rapid search of teh ship's computer for any biological/medical monitoring information on the obviously imnjured and unconscious Bothan.

It is quite obvious why the Captain would hide an injured crew member from Dez and I. We are unknown to him and a potential threat. he had to both win ourt trust and protect this comrade. Burt I have no experience with providing medical attention, so hopefully the ship is monitoring her sufficiently. i will just create a subroutine to alert me if her condition changes.

[Use Computer [1d20+11] = 8+11 = 19 to find any medical monitoring ongoing, if tehre is any]
[Use Computer [1d20+11] = 9+11 = 20 - to be alerted if her condition changes, whther that means worsening or improving, or monitoring stopping.]

he then quickly goes back to his repairs, his sense of urgency building with every minute.

Long's inquisitive chirp gets no reply.  He manages to link to the door and stop it's erratic behavior.

The only monitoring equipment is in the Captain's quarters next to the injured Bothan.  Rolling cautiously closer to interface with the monitoring equipment, Long notices a small cybernetic construct implanted behind the Bothan's ear. (See Lobot  but smaller) Long connects to the medical device that monitors her vitals but he only gets basic information letting him know she is still alive.  He manages to turn up the alert volume in case her vitals fall below the standard threshold.

Long does pause long enough to capture a hologram of the Bothan, just in case he needs to display the image to Dez later.

Long scans the unconscious Bothan then goes back to work making repairs.  His comm link crackles and comes to life. "Long, we found our pilot.  Get ready to receive us." He orders.  "How's my ship?" He adds with genuine concern.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
