[IC] A Stolen Land
(01-25-2017, 03:00 AM)Valdi Wrote: "We have horses now to travel further and faster. We should probably make use of them to explore the local wilderness. Perhaps one of those 'Bounties' will give us a direction to start? We will need to build allies in the region as well as get to know these lands, why not accomplish both at once."

He walks up beside his brother to read the bounties.

"We also need to find a carpenter or skilled weaponsmith.  If we are to reinforce the fortifications here we will need to get those ballistae repaired and functional. I cannot afford to pay a carpenter, but perghaps we can barter for the services."

"I agree." Vidar nods with his brother's assessments and use of horses.

"Maybe Happs knows these lands and can guide us to these boundties?" He says, making sure Happs can hear him. "But I'm sure the others will want a say in the matter."

Ooc - I guess since we let Happs free, he keeps his items, agreed? If I hadn't stated it before, and I'm too lazy to review all the threads, Vidar takes a longbow, 20 arrows and quiver, and the trail rations for the group. (I'll add it to his character sheet.) I think we should keep some spare armor and a sword incase someone wants to impersonate a bandit... The rest we sell to Oleg?

When Andra woke in the morning, she set about preparing her potions for the day before coming out and joining the others.

Looking over the board appreciatively, she comments, "The potions can go in my case. They'll be protected there. And unless we have another who knows how to use a bow, I can take the rest of the arrows." Stopping, she squints at Oleg. "Or... half. You and the missus should learn to shoot. I imagine Happs can teach you."

She glances back at the brothers. "Shall we elect a treasurer, or are we splitting coins evenly?"

Nexendia memorized her spells in the morning so she and Scarf offer to take the first watch.  If anything happened Nexendia would send Scarf to fly to her companions to alert them of the danger.

In the morning, Nexendia will study her spellbook for an hour while Scarf enjoys his First-Breakfast.  Once her spells are memorized, she joins the rest of the party for breakfast (Scarf's Second-Breakfast).

When/if Nexendia finds some or all of her companions gathering for breakfast, she will join them.  Nex will ask how everyone slept and engage in a bit of small talk.  She then asks, "What are our plans for the day?"

Valdi nods at Nexendia and Andra as they join him at the table for breakfast.

"I can use a bow as well Dame Andra, but I am more practiced with thrown axe and hammer. I will take a longbow and just 20 of the arrows for greater range. I have no issue with you taking the remainder."

"I volunteer as treasurer if we wish to keep the funds pooled together. that is if you find me trustworthy.  Though it may be easier if wedimply split the gains evenly."

[OoC The loot reminder

6x Leather Armor (1 kept as per Vidar, rest will sell to Oleg if no one wants) (Value : 15 gp ea.)
6x Longbow (2 taken - Valdi & Vidar - remainingwill sell to Oleg if no one wants (Value : 75 gp ea.))
6x Short Sword (1 kept as per Vidar, rest will sell to Oleg if no one wants) (Value : 10 gp ea.)
12x Trail Rations (Taken by Vidar)
120 arrows (taken and split by Andra - (80), Vidar (20), and Valdi (20))
60 gp

And this on Happs:
1x Leather Armor
1x Composite Longbow (+2 Str)
1x Dagger
1x Silver Stag Lord Amulet
2x Alchemist's Fire
20x Arrows
35 gp
2 x Trail Rations
Unsure if we take Happs items or allow him to keep them.  If asked his opinion Valdi will vote that Happs keep his gear, he will be more likely to remain loyal if he doe s not feel oppressed.

How much can we sell mundane items to oleg for?
as per earlier statement:

But as per the d20pfsrd.com:

Selling Treasure
In general, a character can sell something for half its listed price, including weapons, armor, gear, and magic items. This also includes character-created items.
Trade goods are the exception to the half-price rule. A trade good, in this sense, is a valuable good that can be easily exchanged almost as if it were cash itself.

So which is it 100% value or 50% value? if it is 100% that means total gold pieces the party has after Oleg pays is 410 gp. If we sell for the standard 50% that means our total gold pieces is 235 gp. ]

[OoC: I believe I already detected magic when they arrived.  But Nex will cast Detect Magic again just to be sure.  If Happs items are ours too, I wouldn't mind sharing the Alchemist Fire.  Nexendia's plan has always been to give Scarf these kinds of objects so he can fly over enemies and drop them on their heads. If when Andra said "Potions" she meant the Alchemist Fire then she can them.]

Nexendia listens to the conversation while sharing her breakfast with Scarf.  She takes a moment to hen mention of items come up she says, "I haven't any use for the armor or weapon.  Whatever is left after you all restock yourselves can be sold and divided among the party.  We might want to consider things like Trail Rations to be group items."

Happs shrugs in response "Yeah, I can show ya the cave, but I ain't never heard of no thing called a Tatzylwurm."

((You are by no means required to return Happs' items.  You captured him attempting to assault the Post, so he is, technically speaking, a P.O.W.  You might want to consider both the horses and the wagon when considering what items you can hold.  They can probably hold a LOT more.))

Oleg looks on in awe at all the 'swag', assembled neatly into orderly piles (something which Svetlana appreciates immensely, and shows it with a big smile.

((That was a minor DM error.  Oleg will buy it for it's regular full price in the SRD (in other words, what any PC would pay to buy it) but his resources are currently quite limited.  As in, he can't buy all of the items back just yet.  Maybe he'll be able to buy more at a later time, though.  Never know...)

((Detect Magic reveals no magical auras from any of the piles of captured loot.  Trail Rations and Arrows and the like would make an excellent choice for 'group items.'))

Andra nods to Valdi. "It is up to the group. Eventually, we will need a treasurer. At least, we will if we are successful. But there's no need to start that immediately." Breaking a piece of bread off for herself, she shakes her head at Nexendia. "I wasn't considering taking Happs' equipment. He will likely need it. I was referring to the potions Oleg has in storage. Healing potions, arrows, rations, and the like should be shared. Any potions kept in my case can be clearly marked, so you all can differentiate my personal items." She seemed to have no problem with people rooting around in her case.

While you are debating the ins and outs of governance, there is a loud rapping on the gate, followed by a slightly louder "Ho, in there! We are here to speak to a Master Oleg. We understand he runs this location. May we enter?"

Anyone who looks at Happs only gets a shrug in response.

After a long contemplation Eran joins back to the conversation:
- IMHO Valdi would be a good treasurer. I suppose that we should "collect the money" and order some bigger things for us, e.g.: better armors, weapons, magic wands, ink for the arcane casters, ...

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
