Thank you for the well wishes. And now I may be unable to post again for the next two weeks (traveling again), a thousand apologies. However if I have good signal I will certainly keep this game alive.

I'm not very sure yet how the damage meter thingy works so if I actually hit and accidently knock someone's head off I throw myself on the mercy of the court as that wasn't my intention.  I'm not interested in becoming Darth Overkill.  Tongue

Lol, but evil is so fun! Next thing you know you'll use the bathroom and not wash your hands because you're "evil." I was checking your damage wondering why no bonus was added til I realized Shunna has 10 str. As far as overkill, Jedi kill all the time, when they decide to use a weapon it's because that is the right choice, or at least that's what we are lead to believe. You bring up a good question about killing though and it depends on the weapon as much as the damage, if not more so. A stun baton or setting is meant to incapacitate but people have been known to die from a stun setting, just very rarely. Of course one could bludgeon someone to death with a baton as well. My take on killing in general is , a if you want to kill them state so, if you are using a lethal weapon then I assume you intend to kill unless stated otherwise. Concerning a light saber I believe rolling damage higher than the threshold, a body part is dismembered.

Dez Synn is a great example, in the cantina she stated that she would walk up to the Rodian and shoot her in the head with a blaster. I knew she wanted to kill her target. Would the action award a dark side point, debatable. Had she targeted the rodian's head with a stun baton I would assume she wanted to incapacitate her target.... Of course accidents do happen Wink

I was doing a little bit of reading about gaining dark side points and it seems to me that it could be very easy to accumulate points especially if you're a force user, even just by defending yourself.  For example, it states, when a force power that isn't specifically tied to the dark side is used to harm living beings, the GM should consider increasing the character's dark side score by 1.

What???

So using a light side power the way it's intended (such as battle strike or Force Push) against a living person could get you a Dark Side point?  Has the author of this book seen a Star Wars movie (especially the prequels?)

I'm glad you have said you are considering intent because if you went by what the author suggests, every adventurer would be, "one with the dark side."

Imagine, Darth Long?   Tongue

Nice video.  I'm not sure why Grevious would tell Obi Wan, "You must realize, you are Doooomed!"

Really?  Obi Wan just took two of his arms off and Grevious had not given him a scratch.  Dodgy

RE Dark Side points:  Another thing, Post Clone Wars, the republic seemed to rarely use droids for anything more than servicing which meant you were more likely to fight living creatures.  On occasion it seems they may reprogram a service or navigation droid for infiltration or spying because usually no one expects a droid you're using to be actually working for the other side.  I've been getting into, The Clone Wars cartoon (which I guess is no longer canon - Thanks Disney) and there's an episode where R2D2 is thought destroyed so they get a new astro-droid they named, Goldy.  It took them a long time to figure out Goldy wasn't innocently making potentially deadly mistakes, like accidently failing to kick in the hyperdrive when Anakin was being chased by Separatists ships.  R2 managed to destroy Goldy when he finally returned.  Cool

So watch it Long... I have my eye on you.  Dodgy  Tongue

Don't suppose Dez could sweet talk Zann's datapad with Persuasion for the info? Tongue

Data is not Dez's 'thing'. Her skill at Computers is 4. I'm sure its encrypted and will probably blow up before she can access it (take 10/20 whatever).

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
