RE: The Sunless Citadel - (Chapter One) - Athos Blackwind - 10-06-2021

Athos nods to the group, "Seems like we have a plan then. Lets do this."

RE: The Sunless Citadel - (Chapter One) - Nightingale - 10-07-2021

Nightingale nods as the others agree with her proposal.

Thinking for a moment, she turns her eyes to the roof of the tunnel, thinking of an idea.

OOC: How high is the ceiling on the tunnel? Could I hook my grappling hook/rope to the ceiling somehow? Want to know if it's feasible to grapple to the roof, climb up and hide to then drop down on top of/behind the rats if they follow us up the tunnel.

RE: The Sunless Citadel - (Chapter One) - DM Spiral - 11-06-2021

---Everyone---

(DM - I am assuming the planning is done.  Roll Initiative and your first action. The first round is a surprise round so all of you can in fact rush the room and attack first.  Then normal initiative takes over. The current map is posted below.)

(DM - @Nightingale  With an athletic check it is feasible to grapple the rocks above you and drop down behind some of the enemies.  It would take two move actions and two attack actions.  One attack to fire the grapple, one move to go up, one move to go back down and your last attk to actually attack a target. Honestly though, it might not be worth all the actions as you could just maneuver behind them without much trouble.)

---Everyone---

Kriv moves up and casts Tasha's caustic brew in front of the cave exit exactly where the rats will funnel to after they are stirred up.  Then retreats back behind the cover of the fighters.
Arius pulls the first rat with his whip, he misses, but the noise alerts the rats. They all squeak riotously and turn to swarm the group. This draws most of the rats in the room.  They run across the acidic floor and begin squealing, but they seem unaware of what is actually happening beyond their prey.
One of the Giant rats tries to bite Nightingale but misses.
Another Giant rat tries to bite Arius but misses.
Athos pops one with a jolt of electricity, killing it instantly.
Nightingale whips a dart at one of the rats but misses.
Mivia fires off a bolt at one of the rats killing it instantly.
