RE: The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2) - Cord - 07-11-2023

Cord came running towards the ATV, still trying to check through his new gear bag, having finally replaced his lost gear, hoping against all hope that he wasn't late, but getting provisions had taken longer than he had anticipated, and followed Khayman up the ramp as he finished securing his gear.

---Everyone---

(DM - I posted to this already and it was eaten. I thought that was a myth until I looked again and was like … holy shit. lol!)

The road took them directly south past Indy City until they finally arrived at Derby City. They pulled into the Coalition base just as Night fell.  The last base before the wilds to the southern territories and unfortunately a large number of farms needed to support the larger part of the Coalition.  The farms were critical to the North and from the reports they were losing farms at a rate of almost 1 a week.

Aaron pulled up the check point and the group was immediately cleared and let inside.  They were directed toward a garage area where they were able to park and service their APC.

RE: The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2) - Marcus Brand - 08-05-2023

As soon as Aaron parked the APC, Marcus jumped out and stretched, cracking his shoulders and lower back. "Fuck long rides are rough."  He moved over to help assist with cleaning and refilling the windshield fluid.  Bugs this time of year were atrocious.

RE: The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2) - Nolan Randall - 08-05-2023

Nolan got out and stretched a bit as well. He gave everyone a nod, "Alright gentlemen.  Meet me at the mess hall when we are cleaned up and fueled up.  I'll check in and see if they have had any new developments since their last communication with headquarters.  Khayman, The boys can handle clean up, if you'll join me for the debriefing."

RE: The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2) - MSgt Khayman Tamaroa - 08-06-2023

Snap, crackle, pop went the Master Sergeants limbs as he dismounted the APC and looked around the base. Sighing, he muttered something about 'podunk' bases, but nodded and said, aye aye L.T. when Nolan spoke to him. Keeping the promise he made to himself, he flipped the NG-LG6 onto his shoulder and followed the lieutenant.

RE: The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2) - Tiburon Thran - 08-06-2023

Tiburon jumped out of the ATV and watched as the two men walked off. He gave the LT a salute. You got it sir. We will have this thing sparkling by the time you get back. Then when there was some distance between them. Tiburon grumbled under his breath as he grabbed the window squeegee. I'm a multimillion-dollar war machine and I'm washing window's.

RE: The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2) - Marcus Brand - 09-14-2023

"Copy that LT!"  Marcus snapped a quick salute at the two officers backs as they left them to do the basic shit. Which was par for the course to be honest. Yea, they were all heroic multi-million dollar killing machines genetically engineered to be walking destruction personified, but HEY, fluids still needed refilling and supplies gathered.

Marcus laughed after he heard Tiburon say what he was thinking, "You'd be surprised how much we all cost. But..." The young man shrugged, "...Someone's gotta do it."  He finished with the front window and left the rest to his two brothers who were still fucking around inside the APC.  "Someone should wake up Cord." Marcus pointed to the young man sleeping on the floor underneath the Power Armor.

With that he went to fill this bitch up with drinks, snacks and other essential supplies as his brother's APC was nuclear powered, He glanced Tiburon, "The APC is nuclear powered, so it doesn't need fuel. Snacks?" Marcus gestured toward the commissary.

RE: The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2) - Viego - 09-18-2023

Viego yawned and streached as he got out of the APC. He didn't use to feel cramped in it, but lately he felt a little cramped in his own skin. No cramped wasn't the work. It just felt... tight.  He perked up when he heard the mention of food and snacks. "I hope they got anything chocolate." He grinned. Knowing the dog boys couldn't have chocolate usually meant that Viego got their share of those snacks.

RE: The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2) - Tiburon Thran - 09-18-2023

Tiburon jumped a little at when Marcus spoke to him. Ohh Ohh did I say that out load? Sorry!! Cough cough Tiburon clears his throat. Sure Snacks sounds good. I ran out of my BBQ sunflower seeds. He than sets the squeegee down to head into the store. The windows actually looked worse the sand had turned to mud and was streaking all over the window.

RE: The Stirrings of War - (Chapter 2) - Aaron Brand - 09-22-2023

Aaron watched through a window with an amused grin as Tiburon and Marcus heroically battled some APC grime with a squeegee. Once everyone left for snacks he pushed a few buttons. A few moments later several drones ejected themselves from the carrier and started carpet bombing it with some kind of bluish foam before retreating back into their pods. Aaron exited the APC and gave the detergent a minute to soak in, before swiping a squeegee across a window. The dirt slid off easily, leaving a streak-free shine behind. He grunted in satisfaction and went to grab a hose to wash the rest of the blue shit off. The washbots were a relatively recent addition to the APC's arsenal but sometimes a man needed to pamper his ride.

Could he have told Tiburon and his brother that there was a much easier way to clean the truck? Sure, but that wouldn't have been as funny.
