RE: First Mission - (Chapter 1) - MSgt Khayman Tamaroa - 08-02-2021

His own plasma weapon held comfortably in hand, Khayman watched the boys disappear into the foliage as he set about securing the parameter with Marcus.

RE: First Mission - (Chapter 1) - Nolan Randall - 08-02-2021

Nolan watches the feed from the drone from inside the APC, staying in constantradio contact with his men, though he avoids steady radio =traffic. He relies on KJhayman, marcus, and the dog boys to keep this position secure and watch the town.

Undercover Ops [1d100]=48 vs. 56%

RE: First Mission - (Chapter 1) - DM Spiral - 08-03-2021

---Nolan---

Nolan picks an excellent spot that is both advantageous vs assault and well hidden.  With that settled he sits down at the drone console and launches it.

(DM - Roll Pilot Hovercraft. The drone is essentially a tiny hovercraft with cameras.  Then Roll an Intelligence Check to gather info on the town and surrounding area.)

---Khayman and Marcus---

Both men move around the parameter in a large circuit accompanied by two dogboys each. They secure the parameter with ease and circle back to the APC. The Psi-stalkers post up around the camp fully on guard, the very ideal of discipline.

---Viego---

Moved carefully and slowly to try and keep Aaron in sight.

(DM - Roll Perception. As even though you can see invisible, Aaron is excellent at moving silently and staying out of sight. Also - Go ahead and roll a Percentile Die for Prowl.)

---Aaron---

Aaron moves down the hilly terrain, though the trees toward the town.  He gets to the edge of the forest where he can see the town clearly.

(DM - Roll Perception to scout the area as much as you can.)

RE: First Mission - (Chapter 1) - Aaron Brand - 08-03-2021

Satisfied with the vantage point, Aaron got down on one knee and pulled out his sniper rifle, in case he needed its scope to hone in on objects further away. He observed the town entrance and surrounding area first, noting any guards or in/out traffic while also keeping an eye out for Viego. Nolan had given them about an hour to scout and Aaron had planned to check out the place and its inhabitants from various vantage points to try and ascertain any strange behavior, evidence of the missing platoon, or anything else that stuck out.

(OOC: Scouting the area as much as the time and situation allow.)

Perception 66%: 1d100 98

RE: First Mission - (Chapter 1) - DM Spiral - 08-03-2021

---Aaron---

After about an hour, Aaron collects all the info that he can safely collect.  While he didn't see anything strange, per se, he did notice that about a hundred towns people were armed with Coalition weapons.  No coalition soldiers were anywhere to be seen however.  As well, he spotted two skull-walkers hidden under tarps near the front and rear gates.

RE: First Mission - (Chapter 1) - Aaron Brand - 08-03-2021

Aaron was tempted to infiltrate the town directly and perform a more thorough inspection on foot, but that would greatly increase risk of detection and their allotted hour was drawing to a close. There was no smoking gun in regards to the missing Coalition troops, though the sheer amount of Coalition tech in regular townsfolk hands was suspicious in and of itself. All in all the scouting results were a good start, and hopefully the drone picked up something useful.

He signaled to Viego that they were falling back, shouldering his rifle and retracing his steps back out onto the road away from town. Once in a safer position, Aaron radioed the others back at the encampment.

We're heading back to camp. Over and Out.
