Hearing Breezies affirmation, Dunndero takes a deep breath and opens the door trying to peer into the cottages depths as the door opens.

at Breezy's nod, Dunndero grabs the latch and pushes. The door is difficult at first but a slight nudge from his large frame causes hinges, that aren't used to moving, to shift and the door open moving against the wall allowing entrance. Inside The Cottage is dank and smells of death, decay, and mold. A table with high backed wicker chairs, made to accommodate someone with a much larger frame than your average sized person comes into view, its surface covered with moldy plates, dirty eating utensils, food that has succumbed to natures aging process. A bowl caked with dried goo sits next to a jug that is uncorked. Shelves on the wall hold any manner of clay jugs, glass jars, cloudy bottles, strangely cut rocks, rotted bundles of herbs, and a museum of other crude curios and remnants of a bone grinders artiface.

"I'll keep an eye out here if you want to protect those looking inside." Oriana tells Larz, taking up a position with her back to the cottage, standing guard from any threats that might come from the woods around the cottage.

Ayi. ayi lass just give us a holler ifin you see anything. With that said the dwarf moves up the steps and into the cabin, upon seeing the large apparently dead body on the bed the cleric approaches with shield up, and hammer ready to swing.

Larz moved up the stairs past Dunndero and moved into the room, shield raised expecting an attack at any minute. as he turned the corner the rest of the room came into view a cold fire place upon which perched on squat legs a cast iron cauldron, looking as if it had seen better days. It was covered with dirt and soot. Its cover was askew atop it. A bed sat against the south wall and on it wrapped in burial linens was an 8 foot tall female figure. Slowly Larz took a couple more steps towards the female figure, expecting the body to animate....well something animated alright. Just not the body. With a metallic groan. The cauldron stepped out of the fireplace and the lid clacked open and shut like some creatures maw.
Outside a small fetish opened its eyes and dropped from the branches near Lucian...as did another behind Harley and yet another around the other side of the cabin. It appears the Guardians are now actively attempting to defend the cabin
Breezy could hear the squishing of feet and shortly a fetish bearing a wooden pitchfork came into view at the far corner of the cottage.
Right in front of Lucian a fetish animated and dropped to the ground and took a stab with its pitchfork at the wizard, the trident like weapon stuck the battle-hardened wizard in his thigh
Harley heard the movement in the tree behind her and as she turned saw it drop to the ground. The construct then stabbed out with the tridentlike stick in its hand slicing her along her ribcage

((ooc: This is our first combat in my encounter round summary above I will Post all actions and summarize what occured. Dont worry about posting in order, just make sure you read what every one else is doing...thats important...and note where they are in the combat order. If they destroy or kill an opponent, youll know it because damage is posted and you know what the damage they can take is....if they go after you and you destroy it on your turn, I will adjust their action to maximize what they wanted to do vs a different opponent. That way it moves quickly and we arent waiting. Plyers have until Wednesday evening to post or I will NPC your character in the fight. On roll20 you will note these creatures have a number in the green bar above their hit points. Thats their Hardness. Subtract that from any attack. If they fall to 50% of their hit points they obtain the broken condition and become easier to hit. They have immunities. Yes it kind of breaks some of the mystery of the game...at the same time characters arent dumb and would know that some things might not work...common sense and speeds combat along so much. Things for you to remember...A. This is a 3 action economy. The pathfinder 2 rules thread lists the actions you can perform. B. roll the enemies saving throws and apply the damage accordingly. C. Dont wait...post. Trust the DM ---I know youre thinking 'yeah right' *wink* to take into account what you wanted to do when I summarize either after everyone has posted or Wed evening, whichever comes first.D. In most combats very few things will have attacks of opportunity. In this fight the only player who does is Dunndero. the enemy??? time will tell.))

Oriana moved too slow to prevent the small magical fetishes from dropping and harming Lucien and Harley. But she could help a bit after the fact, at least for Lucien.
Closing her eyes for just a moment, the young woman drew in a breath to find the gate within herself. And opened it wide.
Breathing out, elemental forces begin to encircle Oriana, motes of flame dance all around her, flitting this way and that, changing colour as their temperature fluctuates. At the same time, small globules of water and ice form into being around her as well. The two elements of fire and water weave a complex pattern around her, and those looking close see it is not completely random.
As the ice gets close to the fire, the ice melts into water, and the fire cools down, changing colour into deep reds. As they go further away from each other, the flames grow hotter, changing into yellow and flickers of white. The water cools down, forming intricate frozen snowflakes before getting closer to another mote and the change begins once again. It is a dazzling display, if anyone had time to appreciate it while their lives were on the line.
While the motes themselves were harmless, they were not the only thing unleashed by the opening of the gate.
Her eyes open once more, Oriana raised her hand towards the fetish next to Lucian and from over her shoulder a small opening to the plane of water formed. From it a torrent of water gushed forth, slamming into the small magical creature.
Not sparing another minute, Oriana leaps to back up Lucian directly and lays a cool hand on his shoulder. Another portal opens, but this time the water snaked down her arm and then onto the wizard, making its way towards his thigh and pouring into his wound. It stung for a moment, like salt water on an open wound, but it did more good than harm, helping stem the bleeding and partially stitch the flesh.
Actions:
1st: Channel elements and elemental blast (cold) on the fetish next to Lucian. 17 to hit and 6-2 hardness = 4 damage.
2nd: Stride to behind Lucian.
3rd: Ocean's Balm to heal Lucian for 4 HP.

A glint of steel flashed from beneath Toryn's cloak as the little gnome merchant unsheathed one of his shortswords and launched several rapid strikes against the fetish while its attention was focused on Lucian. Some of the strikes glanced harmlessly off of the creature, but an opportune stab managed to bury the blade deep inside the thing. Toryn grunted and yanked his shortsword out with every ounce of his strength, tearing even more material out of the fetish and unraveling some of the bindings holding it together.
Trouble outside! The neighbors are mad! Toryn yelled out to the people walking inside the hut as he readied his short blade once more.
Action 1: Draw Shortsword
Action 2+3: Attack Fetish Twice
Shortsword Strike 1: 1d20+7 27 (critical success)
Damage: 1d6+4 5 (x2) = 10 + Sneak Attack 1: 1d6 6 -2 Hardness = 14 damage

Breezy seeing the fetishes jump to life lets out a small eep. The druid realizes quickly that it has to decide inside and help the dwarf and half-Orc, or outside and help the others. Realizing it was somewhat separated from the others the small druid quickly chooses inside. Moving in between the much taller warriors legs, it darts inside and moves to the side along the wall.
As it does so it fumbles around for a small lump of silver metal inside a pouch. The pouch was conveniently nestled among the leaves inside its chest. Pulling out the small lump of silver, the druid recites an incantation in the language taught to it by the druid that had lured it here in the first place. The metal chunk vibrates separating into three needle like darts. They then leap into the air and lash out at the cauldron, striking it. Before reforming in the druids hand.
Needle Dart: 1d20+7=18 Damage: 3d4=5

Grunting in pain as the fetishes attack slashed into her mid-section, Harley brought her war maul to bare, swinging it up and over her head in a downward strike. Hitting the fetish with the broad flat head of the weapon before yelling out, even as she backed rapidly away from it, I could use some help over here.

Snapping out of their combined reverie, Satoru and Arielle Act Together as if they've been fighting side-by-side for years. Arielle steps in front of Satoru as he casts a spell, weaving a layer of added protection around her as she casts a spell herself, her arm twisting into a gnarled piece of oak studded in places with hardened amber. She then takes a step forward to the front line.

Action 2: Satoru casts Protect Companion on Arielle (+1 circumstance to her AC until his Start of next turn)
