Seeing the remaining kobold skitter past Mardak and run into the cave, Jonath plunges in after, even as his own teammates missiles whistle by him, unfortunately missing their target. He runs after the creature, but it takes only moments for him to realize he likely won't be able to stop the creature before it is able to drop the gate, blocking their way. He skids to a halt, and instead focuses his concentration on the area just ahead of the kobold. Out of nowhere, faintly glowing strands of energy begin to coalesce, quickly taking the form of a small, clockwork soldier, not unlike the one he had given to the small child in the city before they left, though much larger and less detailed. No sooner has it formed than it lashes out at the surprised kobold, smashing it with its sword which, while not actually sharp, still hits with a solid crack on the creature's shoulder.
[OOC: Move action to run 30' into the cave, which looks like it should bring me up about 10' or so short of the kobold. Then manifesting Astral Construct, placing it just on the other side of the kobold (which should be within my 25' range for the power). Will choose the "Trip" option from Menu A of the Astral Construct creation menu.
Slam:[1d20+2] = 14+2 = 16; Damage[1d4+3] = 4+3 = 7.
STR check:[1d20+2] = 13+2 = 15 for the trip, if necessary.]
