History: Ashley's mother passed away from cancer at an early age.  Her father is an army Colonel who moved the family around a lot.  Her 3 older brothers were always very hard on her for being the only girl in the family.  So she had to toughen up and learn how to defend herself. When Ashley was 14 her powers started to show.  In history class she suddenly made a Canon appear out of one of the history books.  It blew a hole in the side of the building.  No one knew it was her but started to suspect the more things started happening around her.  So her father contacted the Professor and had Ashley move to the mansion to learn how to use her powers.

@Brittany Norris , just a couple of things.   

*Are you sure you want a Good strength?  Remember Good means you can lift between 200-400 pounds.  She never seemed that strong to me but maybe she hid it well. Wink

*You most likely already know this but your Good Endurance would cost you 10 points but you being a random mutant would bump it to Excellent.

*If you have a few extra points CP's you might want to take the power, Empathy.  Note that the book says the power uses Column B for range and for each additional person you're reading it lowers the rank by -1cs but the  rank can't go below feeble (contact), which doesn't make sense.  It specifically says that you can read a crowd of people.  So feeble rank would mean you would have to be touching the whole crowd...  Huh  So I've made the minimum rank Poor (1area).

* Don't forget her Resources.  Each point costs 2cp's.  To give you some idea, a rank of Poor=Student; Typical=Salaried employment; Good=Professional employment; Excellent=Small Business or Small Inheritance; Remarkable=Large Business or chain of businesses or established trust fund.  Remarkable (established Trust Fund) should be the absolute maximum for any teenager.  In comparison, the rules say Professor X has Remarkable Resources which seems a little low to me.

Yeah, but stats are so cheap! I didn't think Good was that good. Empathy is a power that seems like it might fit with her theme. Her resources were Poor since she got cut off from the family wealth. So that's 4 points...

So adding resources and dropping strength balances out nicely.

I was going to spend some karma on talents using my student discount. Which martial arts would you recommend for a defensive fighter? She's never going to be one to rush in to battle and start kicking ass. I'm just looking for something to aid her when something gets past her ranged attacks.

Resist Emotion (just for you) or Force Field vs Emotion (Extend the protection to everyone around you) are possible powers too.  The force field version might even assist the players in your game.

There aren't really any martial arts that are defensive but you could take Acrobatics which would allow you to Dodge, Evade and Escape better.  Remember that these Talents cost 10pts instead of 5pts.  Other possible talents are Trivia: Fashion, Performer: dancer, singer, etc  

Remember that because we lost all the information and this point system has generally made most people a little bit more powerful, everyone lost all of their Karma except your base for your R.I.P scores plus 150 karma.  This will give you 100 to add to a Team pool plus a little bit extra to use.  NPC's will get Base plus 100 and New Characters will just get their base because they haven't done anything yet.

Lost all our Karma? shit! I had like 500 or so! I was going to use some of that to buy a talent or two and start stunting flight.

Question about the column shift... Does that make my Endurance go from Good (10) to Excellent (20) or does it start at 16?

Yes you did lose the karma but you can now just use some of your cp's to buy flight. Good true flight would be 20pts. You might want to look at whirlwind too. I think most people gained more than they lost in karma.

Yes a +1 cs will bring a good 10 to excellent 20. If you only had a good 8 it would would be bumped up to excellent 16

@Brittany Norris , I just thought of something else. If you have extra CP's you might want to bump up your Intuition. Because just like users of Telepathy and Telekinesis usually have high Psyches; users of Empathy and Emotion Control tend to have high Intuitions too.

A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net).
