The Sunless Citadel - (Chapter One)
Athos finished with his break and collected his things. With a stretch and a sigh he made ready to start moving again.  Taking his place at the rear of the party he kept his eyes open as best he could of more of these damn rats.  Damn Things were just horrid.

Finishing her meditation, Nightingale bowed from her seated position to an unseen presence before taking to her feet.

She moved as silently as she could in this underground tunnel, the lack of light made it hard sometimes to find sure footing.

Kriv followed around with the other always trying to remain in the middle of the group or the back. He kept looking around trying to make mental notes of his surroundings.

Miv completes her meditation then steps into position in marching order.

Perception: [1d20+3]=1+3=4

She seems to have gotten a bit of dust in her eyes so she attempts to rub them clear.

---Everyone---

The group continued moving downward and around the ravine as they spotted a set of stone stairs leading back upward. As they moved they happened upon more rat corpses, apparently these were casualties of previous fights.  Gods this place must have been overrun with the vermin.  But now, there was not a squeak or scamper to be heard, which was a good sign.

Athos was the first to spot something odd as they moved up the stairs. Then Kriv saw several dead rats in a pile, before Arius signaled for the party to stop. The three could clearly make out a dead dwarf laying on a pile of dead giant rats.  Almost like a cherry plopped onto a desert.  That was mainly what caused all of them to stop and look around.  Still nothing moved and it seemed as though this wasn't some monsters desert, so they were about to move in for a closer inspection, when the dwarf suddenly gasped and cried out.  The dwarf jerked up onto his feet looked around unsteadily, laughed, farted, then swore something loudly in dwarvish before turning to notice everyone coming up the stairs.

---Ulfgar---

Ulfgar wakes up feeling like someone had kicked him repeatedly in the balls.  He rolled off some small hill on to a stone floor.  The last thing he remembered was being jumped by a shit ton of rats. With a snort of humor he noticed that was what had apparently broken his fall.  It was then that he noticed a group of people coming up the stairs and staring at him with a mix of horror and surprise.

Nightingale raises a single eyebrow in incredulity at the dwarf and the mound of rats he apparently has slain before rolling her eyes at his vulgar awakening, crossing her arms and leaning against a nearby wall.

Damn ye, DAMN YE DUMATHOIN!, ye ripe bastard, tossin' me durned bum down into one o' yer secret holes in de mountain! He turned and faced the approaching adventurers and said, Yer pardon, seems de pantheon be havin' a tad fun a me expense, the arseholes. Reaching down and retrieving his warhammer, he thumped it against his chest, Ulfgar Gravendak, warrior an' court jester to de gods.

Arius tilts his hat as he extends a slight bow towards the dwarf and says, "Greetings good sir, and I am Arius Dezlentyr of the Waterhavian Dezlentyr's!".

Kriv eyed the dwarf the self proclaimed jester of the gods, trying to ensure he wasn't undead although the fart pretty well ensured he wasn't. The dragonborn stood his full height and bowed slightly. "Greetings to you sir. I am Kriven Turnuroth."  saying in his deep voice trying to at least be polite.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
