Nang uses the wand of identify again, then casts detect magic before examining the cloak and amulet, and then the gems in the wall.
nang - Torque check [1d20+10] = 14+10 = 24
Cloak Nang Spellcraft 1 [1d20+17] = 10+17 = 27
Amulet Nang Spellcraft 2 [1d20+17] = 2+17 = 19
Gems in wall Nang Spellcraft 3 [1d20+17] = 14+17 = 31
The wand helps you identify the Cloak as a Cloak of Resistance +2.
You failed to identify the Amulet.
[OoC: Remember, the Spellcraft skill says "YOU" may not retry identifying items until the next day. It says nothing about another person from casting Identify to try to identify the item the same day.]
As for the gems. Many do seem to identify like energy storage items. You're not sure how you could use these to your benefit. Perhaps they could be fashioned into pearls of power or a type of Cognizance crystal. Currently they seem to be being used to power this pool to connect to other worlds. Maybe you've found your way home. Now if only you knew how it works!! But there are a few gems that don't seem to be connected, or maybe they were once connected but have absorbed so much of the ambient energy that they've become true magic items... Like Ioun stones.
