[IC] Chapter 2-4: You Hear Them Whispering in the Crowns of the Trees
"Yes, do it again if you can, I sooo wanna see this!" a familiar voice calls out, agitated, from one of the paths that enter the clearing the party is located.

The voice belongs to Portho, but a tad less clear and ringing as usual, maybe because because of the pipe he puffs gleefully; a trait none of the company has ever witnessed before. The smoke has a rich, spicy sweet scent of herbs. Cranberry shoots a scornful look at him but then nods,
"Rest now. We don't mind hosting you for several days but don't just sit here, idle. My offer for a guide to escort you to his lair's entrance is still valid, though you should find the way pretty easily. Take this," she hands one of you a feather, easily identified by Toot as a swan's tail feather (rectrix - helmsman) "it turns into a convenient boat if thrown into a sufficiently large pool of water."

"Or any other liquid, for that matter," Portho adds helpfully.
Cranberry frowns and nods.
"I'm afraid the waterfall would sink it though so you must find another way to cross it."

With that, she leaves the way Portho came, muttering something to the gnome as she passes. Portho sends another cheerful grin towards Toot then turns and follows Cranberry, giggling.

OOC - let's pretend you are all through rest. I assume you have food for yourselves?

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
