[IC] Finding Benjamin
#51
Gedeon glances up and down the sewer tunnel, ever vigilant of their flanks while the others scout their path.

Looks at his phone...

"Yup.  It looks like we go that way."

Trevor then looks at James and says, "You're the one with the flashlight.  If you don't want to take point then give it to someone else."

[OOC: The students with the best protection are James (Body Resistance: Ex) and Katrina (Armor Skin: Gd)]

"Uhh, okay, yeah no, I got it.  I'll go first, this way right?"

...

James looks at the others with a 'this must be the place' look.  "Should we knock or something?"

Malcolm creates a telekinetic tentacle to hold his phone so he could view the area beyond the breech.  Careful to not get his phone wet, Malcolm 'carries' his phone through the hole.  On the other side he sees a small pool of water, some pipes and another passage.  There's a thin stone lip just thick enough for someone to balance on and not get wet that leads to the entrance of the other opening that also looked like it was tunneled through.  The light from the phone flashes down that passage but all Malcolm can see is a dusty tunnel but at least it appeared dryer than the tunnels the group has been walking in.

She looks at the two girls. "Sounds like someone is causing the earth to shake. This is not an area for natural earthquakes. I did not hear an explosion so could be something heavy rolling. Or a mutant who can't control there abilities. " She pats the two on their heads and gets up picking up a couple of the potted plants, one was a simple wood vine, hardy hard to kill and strong as any jungle vine. The other was a simple cheat grass, its thorn like sees known for impaling into shoes and socks not to mention it could emit pollen to aggravate allergies and that was before sh got ahold of them.

She moved to the entrance of the area and looked out into the tunnels. She was not about to let anything happen to the girls she was watching.

Dizzy follows you around like a puppy.  She was the more nervous of the two.  Always wanting to be close to make sure she had permission to do anything and everything.  Her powers, while not as impressive or flashy as some mutants like Storm, were still capable of keeping her safe from most things that dwell down here in the tunnels.  She had even once saved herself and a few others from Sabertooth during the Mutant Massacre.  "She was just lucky," said some but it was still impressive for such a little girl to escape from a rampant murder like Sabertooth.

"Should we tell Masque," Dizzy whispers while peeking one large eye around the corner to peer down the same empty passage as you were.  "But if they normal, Masque will..." Her voice trails off at the thought of the monstrosities she could create who were driven mad by their new forms.

"No," snapped snipps.  "Masque not like when strangers come.  "She might blame us for playing so close to the surface."  Snipps looked up at you hoping you would agree.  Snipps was a brave little girl but she would quite often need rescuing from herself.  Like when she refused to back down from taking the last cookie when Pounds threatened to sit on her if she took it or falling down a drain pipe while exploring some new tunnel.

GM Marvel
Belladona let out a smile and then taking a single leaf off her woodvine she placed it gently in the  muck that naturally found its way into the sewers. She then concentrated placing her hands out towards it and then cultivated the vine into a nice ten foot thick barrier of multiple vines thicker than her own arm and about ten feet deep blocking off this area of the tunnels, she could always remove it later if needed. (same basic Material strength as Oak)

"We will go see Masque. Better to tell him about the disturbance than not." She then picked up the woodvine pot and placed it in her satchel with her various other plants she kept for their usefulness.  She then took each one of the girls by the hand and hurried off, making various mushrooms grow and then shrink back as they took a more direct route than others without her abilities could.

When no one answers Malcolm, Trevor looks around and says, "Well, I guess so.  Sorry bud.  Even though you and James seem to have the best protections you're the only one who volunteered.  I will stay close and blast anything that jumps out at you."

Belladonna
With both girls in tow, Belladonna scurries through the maze of sewer tunnels until she reaches the Alley which is a series of abandoned military tunnels used by the Morlocks to travel throughout New York City undetected.  These tunnels connect to the New York City sewer system in multiple places as well as New Jersey, Connecticut and New York state.

The girls stay close to you, avoiding some of the scarier looking inhabitants.  Some just looked scary but others you had reason to be scared.  A young teen boy jumps down from the ceiling and lands 10' in front of the three of you.  He went by the name critter.  He was a nice kid but he didn't socialize much with anyone.  "Bell-bell did you hear rumble?  You don't think Marauders are back do you?"

Malcolm just shrugs and begins to move to carefully catch up to his floating phone. Progress is slow, as he moves a bit, then stops, and concentrates a bit to 'scout ahead' with the glowing phone.

[OoC he actually can do both at once, but roleplaying he doesn't know that yet, he's not used to the dual-vision of using clairvoyace and his physical eyes at the same time yet]

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
