9. Weeping Pond:
#21
As one human after another comes onto the shore, heaving their guts into the water or ground, Ursk grows increasingly perplexed. Fragile little things. They need to drink more, strengthen their stomachs. He pulls a torch and flint out of the bags of gears and goes about the business of lighting it.

As he does so, he asks Raewyn, "Guts in knots. You be okay?"

Taijun simply could not hold back the vomit.  After he retched up his breakfast, he continued to dry heave for a bit as he tried to help the others.  The thought of all that fluid in his lungs was disturbing.

He grabs one of the torches from the dry bags and lights it with Ursks torch.  Now that there was light he looks around.

Swim = 12

Swim [1d20+2] = 17+2 = 19

Kayla had never had a problem swimming in the clean rivers and ponds. Good thing, since the foul water was more than her stomach could bear!

{DC is 10 for swimming. }

The activity on the beach attracts the attention of some of the cavern dwellers. The sound of tiny claws on stone and insect chittering announces the arrival of some oversized beetles. (Will have a map up and more details tomorrow.)

You drowned. Thanks for playing.

No, you just don't progress all the way down the tunnel yet.

As the members of the group that made it all the way prepare for some spelunking, one of the walls begins to glow in a few spots.  Before anyone can look closer, fire beetles erupt from small holes in the wall and attack the party!

(Those who fail their DC 11 Fort save are sickened for 1 minute.)

Action picks up in Encounter section, E2 Beetle Bait!

Weyna takes a moment to herself, feeling what light of the sun she can on her face and drinking it in, before wading into the water and following the others

((Casting Resistance))

Save: Fortitude with Resistance bonus [1d20+1] = 13+1 = 14

Swim [1d20] = 8

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
