The gates themselves hold against the pressure of the heap only because most of the rock pieces are partially against the wall or simply too large to fit through these gates so the entire pressure distributes along the full surface of the wall around the inner space.
So the party will climb back to the ground floor and stroll around the full circle, peeking into each of the rooms, right?
Ahh. And what about this one underground? Is this one full with rocks too and under pressure? So we can break the iron gate (grids) and take away some rocks, aren't we? If we break this gate the rocks come out and crash down maybe one of the gates above will be free. Is this possible? Or have we better chance to suvive if we open a gate above (survival d20+5)
