Answered IP address vs
#1
Question
I have told people who share my domicile about this board and it is possible that one or two of them will want to sign up.  Will there be an issue with this given that we share internet access sometimes?  As in, they will be on the same IP addresses as me and vice versa.  There's no guarantee either of them will join, but - both of them have done this sort of RP board before.

I only ask because at some point I think I read that there was some sort of concern about individuals making more than one 'main' registration, and I didn't want to worry any administrators on that account.

It doesn't really become an issue unless there is a need for the admins to take some kind of action on one of the people (ie, ban them).

If we need to investigate some behaviour then IP addresses can be helpful, but not the be all end all.

Basically if everyone is nice, it should be all fine. (To me anyway)

Just as Minty said, It's fine.  As long as we don't have to Ban someone for being shitty, then there shouldn't be a problem.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
