[OOC] Return to the Rusty Rat
Just for my own reference,
  • The Para-elementals are ice (Water/Air), magma (Earth/Fire), ooze (Water/Earth), and smoke (Air/Fire).

  • The Positive Quasi-elementals are Lightning (Positive/Air), Minerals (Positive/Earth), Radiance (Positice/Fire), and Steam (Positive/Water).

  • The Negative Quasi-elementals are Vacuum (Negative/Air), Dust (Negative/Earth), Ash (Negative/Fire), and Salt (Negative/Water).
As a side note, I have a cool Dragon Magazine article that give stats for Genasi for each of these planes as well as Genasi of Law and Chaos.  The Cansin (Genasi of Chaos) are one of my favorite.

RE Equipment:  In Elemental (Type) it states:

Quote:Proficient with natural weapons only, unless generally humanoid in form, in which case proficient with all simple weapons and any weapons mentioned in its entry.

Proficient with whatever type of armor (light, medium, or heavy) that it is described as wearing, as well as all lighter types. Elementals not indicated as wearing armor are not proficient with armor. Elementals are proficient with shields if they are proficient with any form of armor.

Using this, no true elemental is proficient in any armor and only those with a humanoid form are proficient with simple weapons (because no description mentions any other weapons in their entry).  But thankfully you don't have to be proficient to use the magical effects of a helmet.

And no need to fear.  I won't be turning my Elementals into Elemental War Machines.   Tongue  Toot will be picking up the Aquan language next level anyways so Toot won't be needing a helmet to chat with Water creatures.

ooooOOOOooohhh... Chronomancy....
Latecomers (well... all except Giant and Merri) may have missed the prophecy's theme;

"... Cross time and space, the legends say,
Heroes at last! to steal the Day!"

I might consider some of these. And of course make the archvillain a Chronomancer!

It was a quarter century ago when I played with it on my C64 Wink and I wasn't able to finish it because my last disk was failed a little bit. (contained some bad sectors) Sad

Feeling's not quite the same but worth giving it a go with an emu, esp. because tedious reloads are just a flick of a fingertip away.
I believe we have a common acquaintance who just MIGHT have a working copy of the original. The reason so many copies failed because it was one of the games that used such an extreme compression and turbo loader that it was very sensitive to any damage; guessing they reduced redundancy to absolute 0. (as in: -273.16 C)

SG will follow the free path from the center but clever characters (not SG) can remember there are two exits on north.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
