[OOC] Return to the Rusty Rat
Thanks for the quote, just as I suspected. The self square is a loophole in wording, no threaten there either.

Based on this I will modify Portho's turn after all (no aoo from Torin since sumo casting time is one round). Doesn't really change anything, or does it?

Would it be possible to get an update on the map?  And if the priest has nothing else to cast, a Bless or a Prayer spell.  With so many creatures it would help quite a bit.  If the guy is now gone then I guess it doesn't matter.

There are two warriors standing, the one closer to the party is about 20 ft from the nearest thoqqua and maybe 35 from the farthest. It stands nw of Torin with seven more squares free around it. Remember that Torin wields a javelin at the moment, this cannot contribute to flanking.

Also, you don't know the exact status of Cloak. That is, unless you make a DC20 religion check.

If someone has access to roll20 atm feel free to post a map update.

I think Maul just killed all the thoquas and Lugar (Chaotic Neutral)  Lol

Holy Smite:
You draw down holy power to smite your enemies. Only evil and neutral creatures are harmed by the spell; good creatures are unaffected.

The spell deals 1d8 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d8) to each evil creature in the area (or 1d6 points of damage per caster level, maximum 10d6, to an evil outsider) and causes it to become blinded for 1 round. A successful Will saving throw reduces damage to half and negates the blinded effect.

The spell deals only half damage to creatures who are neither good nor evil, and they are not blinded. Such a creature can reduce that damage by half (down to one-quarter of the roll) with a successful Will save.

Put the SW two squares down (because it is attacking from the caster's direction).

Damn forgot friendly fire... all neutral creatures pls roll will save dc18 to halve the 7hp damage Blush

Boo and Toot are out of range, will move Maul 1 square west...

Edit: Lugar is unaffected as well if Maul moves 1 west...

Will save
(1d20+7) = 23
Does evasion apply? I guess not, since it's a will save...

Correct, no evasion against Holy Smite.
For the records; I was mistaken by the generic description "You draw down holy power to smite your enemies"; I guess it's the fluff text only but there should be more similar spells that could clarify.

And correct, SW attacked Portho from SW Smile

One more thing; overlooked caster level, it's 8 not 10 so damage is 13 for evil, 6 for neutral (will halves)

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
