Character backgrounds (100% optional)
#8
Every kobold believes themselves to be the scion of dragons, and for Benji Copperclaw, that statement holds particularly true, for the blood of those ancient and fearsome creatures courses deep within his veins. It is a source of great pride and confidence (sometimes a little overconfident) for him. Copperclaw was a respected and admired minstrel of his tribe, Clan Arcath (a tribe of kobolds of varying draconic heritages), who constantly scavenged pieces of surface race culture to share with his brethren. He would read aloud stories of epic heroes from old and moldy books, plink away on a broken, two-stringed lute, and concoct strange and wonderful new dishes from crumpled and half-torn recipe scrolls.

Eventually Benji was consumed by wanderlust and a desire to experience life outside the warrens first-hand. He wished to taste the delicious cuisines of people all across Golarion (especially these things called "cheese"), to become a famous adventurer, and to prove to the world that, beneath the diminutive frames of every kobold beat the heart of a mighty dragon. After some tearful goodbyes and a promise to make his tribe proud, Benji Copperclaw set off into the brave new world above-ground, traveling as a roving bard to wherever his whims took him.

Some of Benji's more recent exploits include:

1. Uncovering and helping take down a sinister cult in Varisia. Benji and a group of mercenaries were hired to track down a tax collector who went missing after being sent to Ravenmoor to collect unpaid fees. But what was a simple missing person quest turned into a fight for their lives as the group inadvertently stumbled upon a a cult worshiping Ghlaunder, the deity of infection, disease and parasites. The cult had managed to corrupt the village's traditional faith in Desna into the worship of the stirge lord, all the while deceiving the residents into thinking they were still praying to The Great Dreamer. After being attacked in the middle of the night, Benji and his companions fought their way into the heart of the cult where they engaged in a climactic battle with the leader and a Blightspawn of Ghlaunder. They emerged victorious, having managed to take down all the major players and reveal the depth of their deceit to the innocent villagers. Once the church of Desna caught wind of the situation, they were quick to dispatch missionaries to restore the faith and infrastructure of Ravenmoor's people.

2. Saving the town of Ravengro from a ghostly prison riot. As with Ravenmoor, what was at first a simple funeral gathering soon turned into a horror show as haunts and apparitions started terrorizing the people of Ravengro. The group's investigations led them to the nearby abandoned prison of Harrowstone, where they met the apparition of the warden's dead wife. With her help, the group exorcised the ghosts of the prison's most notorious criminals and put an end to Ravengro's supernatural woes. They also uncovered a potential plot set in motion by the death cult The Whispering Way.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
