He joins to SG. That a good point. Let's start with some pálinka  and after continue with the real men's food - with some good dwarven beer.

...

- It was a terrible night. I won't drink more pálinka in today. Tongue

This reminds me of when one of my soldiers tried to ferment his own alcohol using the fruits from the dining facility. Hahaha, his first batch smelled like old gym socks! I had to commend his ingenuity and drive though.

Did he spend some time in jail?  They call it pruno.  You have to be pretty desperate to drink that stuff.  Inmates would hide that stuff everywhere.  Trashbags just full of rotting fruit and who knows what else.   Confused

Blasphemy! Pálinka is an exquisite quality spirits, made of quality fruit. Compare it to any booze like what you mentioned and Hungarian will kill you on sight before you could apologise.

Either that, or invite you to a drinking contest.

I don't think jail pruno is quite the same as your quality Pálinka or Hungary has just fallen greatly on my list of places to go drinking.   Big Grin

No, no jail time. We had to shut down his operation though. After the first batch he figured out what he did wrong and the subsequent stuff was pretty good. But, rules is rules.

I'll try anything once. Palinka looks like something I would try one, two, three times or more! Smile Do you mix it with anything, drink it on the rocks, or straight up?

Poison. - Type - Save. - Initial. - Secondary - Cost
Palinka - Ingested - DC 15 - 1d4 Wis - unconsciousness - 50g sound about right?

If it's good then we drink it in straight way. There are some webshop which sells pálinka in U.S. and maybe in Canada too. If you want you could taste it, unfortunately they are just 40 percent.
"The traditional double distillation process results in a strong alcohol content of 40 to 70 percent, but on U.S market we launched the 40% Alc."

I personally preffer the strongest versions 50+ percent.

Anything below 48% is a mockery. Anything above 51% ruins the taste.
Come to Hungary and I'll invite you :-)

Yes, please enlighten us. I'm always looking for new and interesting ways of damaging my liver.

On a similar note, when I was deployed to Somalia, we of course brought no alcohol. Because we apparently have sticks up our butts... Now everyone else in this multinational force apparently came prepared to get plowed. Supposedly the Canadians stopped in Kenya to stock up on some beer, or they may have brought plenty with them. Because Semper Fidelis is Latin for ADHD, let Marines grow bored at your peril. Well, one of the captains of my unit decided enough of this sober bullshit, let's raid a Canadian boat and get some of that and spread the wealth. I realized pretty quickly that he must have already burned through his personal stash because he was far less than sober. I wisely decided that was trouble I did not need.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
