Entry Cavern
#31
Reawyn stands on his toes to try and look over some of teh stalagmites, before cautiously approaching the half-orc body...

[Perception +4 [1d20+4] = 12+4 = 16]

He kneels down beside it and begins to examine the body, completely oblivious to any smell of rot, before asking for assistance in rolling the heavy corpse over to check the other side.  He doesn't bother with checking pockets or pouches.. he is checking how the half-orc perished.

[Healing +4 [1d20+4] = 13+4 = 17]

Assuming there are no immediate threats, Ursk helps roll over the half-orc, albeit with an unceremonious push with the heel of his boot. The dead don't care about niceties.

(Sorry for the absence - I couldn't access the site the past few days...I was out of town and didn't remember the username/password combo =(

Kayla follows the group, keeping an eye out for traps or other hazards...

The half-orc woman was clearly stabbed to death.  Whoever did it also stripped her off anything useful.

DC 10 knowledge: local
The woman was Parda, a popular brawler in Torch.  She was last seen heading into the caves with a group of thugs that she had begun hanging out with.

Weyna glances at the corpse, then looks at Kayla. "It's Parda. She can't have been alone. So why would they turn on her?" The image of a gaping maw from the rock formations is making her nervous, she so examines them thoroughly.

Knowledge: Local [1d20+7] = 4+7 = 11

Knowledge: Nature [1d20+7] = 20+7 = 27
((Rocks are nature, right?))

(Who knew we had a budding geologist in the group?  Weyna knows more about rocks than the GM>  Wink )

Weyna knows a lot about rock formations and determines these to be perfectly normal.

[OoC Reawyn could make a Knowledge Nature check to confirm her findings, about the actual type of mineral deposits, but I doubt I could top her roll  Tongue]

Cin whispers half-jokingly to Reawyn, "Do half-orcs have anything glowing that you're planning on taking with you?"

Weyna had seen formations like these in a half-dozen caves over the course of her life. She realizes that it must have simply been the presence of the body that had made her suspicious of them. Gingerly stepping between them, she glances at the body as she passes, wondering what Parda and her 'friends' had come in here for, in the first place.

"Might I suggest that those with magic, use magic," Cin says to no one in particular.  "Is not Detect Magic a cantrip?  Therefore just like Dancing Lights, you can keep Detect Magic or other cantrips active at all times."

Cin then continues to follow the Dwarf with her gun loaded and readied for firing.

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
