OOC - Rancor Pit (OoC Chat)
But with improvements to armor, engines, and sensors, which all come at the cost of cargo space, would the Bulwark be any better or equal to the Wildcard?

We first have to ask ourselves what the purpose of all that cargo space is. If we're actually planning on using it to become a smuggling group...the Wild Card is superior as a warship on the basis of its better equipment. If we are going to use that cargo space for other things (the aforementioned improvements to weapons, engines, sensors and communications, possibly an improved snubfighter, etc), then the Wrathful Bulwark FAR outstrips the Wild Card in my humble opinion, and it's not even close.

Is anyone watching The Book of Boba Fett?  If you are, how'd you like the Power Ranger Moped gang who are Boba Fett's new hired muscle?

Yeah, enough a w'wait a minute, am I still watching Star Wars?' moment to throw me a little. Episode 4 tonight was much better.

Just watched it.  Yes it was better.  Maybe now he's healed he will finally stop needing to be rescued and start acting like the badass he's suppose to be.

Apparently the Actor who plays Boba Fett has been a little at odds with the writers.  He feels Boba Fett talks too much and he has tried to give away his lines to Fennec Shand.  He feels all the talking is taking away from Boba Fett's mysteriousness.  I kind of agree.  Everywhere he goes he tells everyone who he is and that he's not dead.  He even held a Rat catcher bot against the wall and said, "Do you know who I am?  I'm Boba Fett!"   Rolleyes   Then finally at the end of the show he says that, 'sometimes it's better if people think you're dead.'  Well fat chance of that happening!

Shopping list of improvements for the Wrathful Bulwark:

I've attempted to put these in order by priority, but we can obviously play with that.

Disguised  Transponder 2,500cr (Illegal so x5 black market cost = 12,500cr)  - 0 emplacement points
-  this is our #1 priority, we need this  if we just

Com Jammers    Cost: 20,000  (Military - x4 black market cost = 80,000cr) emplacement points: 1  - this does what Shunna hoped the jamming suite would

Jamming suite    Cost: 25,000cr    Emplacement points: 1

Sub-light Drive (4 squares)  Cost: 50,000cr (restricted +10% licxense fee  = 55,000cr)  emplacement points: 5 (replacing our current 3)
- 4 squares will make us basically average speed, not exceptional but hella better than our current 2

Concussion Missile Launcher, Medium    Cost: 3,500cr (military - licensing +20% = 4,200cr)  Emplacement points:2
  -32 x Medium concussion misiles  Cost: 750 (military +20% = 900 cre eac)  x32 = 28,800 cr

Starship Shields, SR 55  Cost: 30000cr (common, no cost modifier) Emplacement points: 3 (replacing the 1 emplacement point for our current SR 20 shields)  - the max shields for our ship size

Medical Suite      Cost: 15,000 (Common, noi modifier)  emplacement points: 1

Cryogenic Chambers    Cost: 2,500cr (Common - no modifier) Emplacement Points: 2

Combat Thrusters  Cost: 10,000cr (Common - no cost modifier)  Emplacement points: 1 - letting us manuever like a snub-fighter instead of just being a mobile figthting platform

Workshop        Cost: 15,000 (Common - no cost modifier)  EmplacementPoints: 1

Navicomputer, Advanced  20,000 (licxensed - +5% license fee = 21,000cr)
cr  emplacement points: 2 (we can scrap/sell the old navicompuyter, so only need 1 emplacement point)

Emplacement points needed: 14

*We can gain emplacement points at a cost of 5 tons of cargo space per emplacement point, so if we reduce our cargo space from it's current 220 tons to a more modest 150 tons we can make enough space

Looking at Dez's list, here are Korstyn's thoughts:

1. Disguised Transponder: Yes, we absolutely need a license plate change. If we have the skill for it, we should build a rotating 'ponder as well, but need a better Deception skill for that.
2. Com jammers/Jamming suite: This goes along with what Korstyn said IC. We need to be able to enhance our information control capabilities. There are none on this ship.
3. Workshop: Having a place where she can work on just about everything is extremely important to Korstyn.
4. Combat Thrusters: Mobility is important
5. Sub-light engines: see above
6. Starship Shields SR 55: If nothing else, this would make the Bulwark tanky enough to withstand anything from anything up to a frigate, at least.
7. Medical Suite: hopefully we won't actually need one, but better to have and not need...
8. Navicomputer, Advanced: It seems wrong to have this so far down the list, but her thought priority is centered on harm reduction rather than improving what we already have. Zero is more than capable of jumping us away in a decent amount of time.
9. Cryogenic Chambers: Why do we even need this?

1. The rotating transponder simply costs more.. each extra set ofd credentrials costs.
2. Coim Jammer and jamming suite do two different things.. Com Jammer block cioms from working..  Jammer suite/array simply makes you harder to hit by interfering with an opponent's targetting
3. makes sense for this to be higher on Korstyn's list vs. Dez' preferences
4. & 5. You probably need more speed before it's worth worryiung about being able to dogfight
6.  makes sense
7. -
8. -
9.  I think Dez was just trying to complete the med suite

ABOUT US
A gaming group started in late 2005 when several members (from all over the world) came together on a long-running forum website called Plothook.net (formally known as Highmoon.net). Several games transformed from a by-the-book format to highly modified versions that became new hybrid systems with completely custom rules and abilities. Ten years later, these faithful players wanted to secure their work and their stories, becoming the basis of these forums.
