"It will be a close call."

OOC - 2,500gp, 10 hours. Let's say it's the absolute maximum for magic item creation time until gate opens.

OOC - the city mages can do it at the full price of course and it won't be ready before nightfall. Increase by one is feasible (3000gp is 6hrs)

Hm, only arms and armor, suck. So can you improve my chain shirt then? (ooc - +2 -> +3)

ooc - "For an item with only an enhancement bonus, the caster level is three times the enhancement bonus. If an item has both an enhancement bonus and a special ability, the higher of the two caster level requirements must be met."
ooc - "Creating an item requires one day per 1,000 gp in the item’s base price, with a minimum of at least one day. Potions are an exception to this rule; they always take just one day to brew. The character must spend the gold and XP at the beginning of the construction process.

The caster works for 8 hours each day. He cannot rush the process by working longer each day. But the days need not be consecutive, and the caster can use the rest of his time as he sees fit."
Surrano overrided it.

Oops, you are right, Murkatos cannot make anything with +3 or better. But he could make a +2 something (e.g. light fortification). Sorry, Giant, but you'll have to go for court wizards with that and pay the full price (5,000gp).

OOC - Thanks, dwarf Smile

Oh, my God!!! - he shakes his head. So what can you do? Can you add a special property to my axe? Can you suggest a good one? (ooc - furious?bane?flaming?etc)

Or can you create an enhanced mithral breastplate instead of my chainshirt? With spikes of course. And a silver dagger, and adamantine arrows from bolts?

ooc - have we the adamantine door or not?

RE: Chapter 2-1: Falter and Scream - Torin - 03-18-2017

RE: Chapter 2-1: Falter and Scream - Toot - 03-20-2017

Toot spends some time carefully writing information on a piece of parchment.  Once all the lettering was perfect he stands on the bottom edge and then slowly rolls it into a tube shape from the top.  Once done he squeaks, "Can someone with smarts come with me to magic shops.  Me not want get stepped on on the way."  If no one volunteers, he hires a guide to take him to the market.

Once a travel companion is figured out, he leaves to find where the magic shops are located like he was carrying a golden scroll.  Toot had a strangely cheerful, cat caught the canary, smile on his face because today was different.  No one knew it but today Toot was not some vermin to be squashed or screamed at in terror.  Today he was something he had never been before; a customer.

When he finally arrives at the market, Toot marches up to the counter and taps on one of the counter's legs.  As the shopkeeper looks around, he finally sees a very small, almost tiny Forest Gnome staring up at him with wide eyes and a huge grin.  "Me here for magic.  Me a customer!"

RE: Chapter 2-1: Falter and Scream - Lugar - 03-20-2017

Lugar will go with Toot to the magic market. He suggests they all travel together to spend their money.

I'm coming - says the smart one Smile

RE: Chapter 2-1: Falter and Scream - DM Surranó - 03-20-2017

A golden haired ageless elf greets Toot. She wears regal clothing with lots of jewels. In particular, a ring with an enormous emerald catches Toot's eyes.
She smiles at the "customer" and asks,
"Welcome, Customer. I guess you are willing to sell-- your hat maybe?"
