(so everyone followed Lugar, Giant being second, Torin and Toot being last. Only Lugar wrote that he would run and Shanna explicitly wrote that she would cautiously follow so I assum the rest don't run Giant can still keep up the pace with Lugar. Toot could keep up with the lead but if he "goes with the others" I treat it as majority so means with Merri, Shanna, Torin, and the pony. Merri following the others (who have darkvision) probably has to fall back to cautious pace with Shanna so Torin and the light-wielding pony can keep up with them. Of course, Torin could also attempt to mount the pony (a bit undersized for him) to up his pace, or use Longstrider if memorised, for example... anyway correct me if I got something wrong and position yourselves accordingly on roll20.)

Lugar sprints with all his dwarven agility back along the path until he arrives at a crossing where he's no longer sure which way the voice came from. This ring? Or the next, outermost ring? He can clearly remember that they arrived to this spot from the west (right of Lugar at the moment) and the path to the left (east) is probably a dead end (barring the option of wading through ant-infested mushrooms). Going back all the way the party came to reach the outhermost ring would take about 660 feet (10 more rounds running due to corners) or he could pass the mushroom ring head-on (80 feet, half of which is difficult terrain, can be covered easily in three rounds).

Giant keeps up the pace easily but apparently has no idea where in the maze they are.

Merri follows at the foremost possible edge of the illuminated aura around Torin's pony.

Torin, Toot, and Shanna close the ranks, carefully retracing their steps the way they arrived.
Private to Shanna
The loremaster recalls having seen giant ants along the way but she can't recall where exactly.
Private to Torin
The deep dwarf recalls having seen giant ants along the way and though it's more mushrooms than rock it still resembles some of the vast chambers of dwarven lords and thus he can still remember that the ants they saw were one ring away, about 100-120 feet S-SW from where Torin is now (OOC - relative to where I placed Torin on roll20 but you may adjust your place)

There's silence as Lugar stops to assess his array of choices. Only the others' footsteps can be heard when suddenly a deep rumble echoes in everyone's heads, as if coming from deep. Deep within.
In a matter of a few seconds, the party is overcome by ravenous hunger and thirst, out of nowhere!
Everyone please roll 4+3 Constitution checks. (thirst: DC 10, 11, 12, 13; hunger: DC 10, 11, 12)

(OOC - please revise your reserves; I assume the last time you had some food was in the morning when you left the camp Cranberry provided to you. I recall Toot gathered some berries but I assume everyone else consumed their own rations, right?)
[OoC: I'm at work and the computer can't attach links to words with the link button.  So I have to post the whole link. ]

Thirst: 9, 6, 6, 21; Failed 3 times http://www.unseenservant.com/default.asp...20&macid=0

Hunger: 6, 3, 3; Failed 3 times http://www.unseenservant.com/default.asp...21&macid=0

[Wow, Toot failed 6 times!!  The group is looking mighty tasty right now...   ]

Now Boo's turn...

Thirst: 21, 18, 18, 13; Failed 0 times! http://www.unseenservant.com/default.asp...22&macid=0

Hunger: 12, 9, 9; Failed 2 times. http://www.unseenservant.com/default.asp...23&macid=0
OOC - tough luck!
Toot - 20hp nonlethal damage and is fatigued
Boo - 9hp nonlethal damage and is fatigued
Giant - 1hp nonlethal damage and is fatigued
[OoC: Well in Toot's defense there was an average of about a 50% chance to fail for each roll.  So while he did roll bad, on average he would have failed 3 or 4 of those rolls anyways.

Toot will make a Spellcraft +11 check.]
(14+11=25) Toot immediately remembers that there are some evil doodids that may be capable of negatively influencing or speeding up the metabolism of living creatures but how they do it is beyond the traditional doodid lore-- and even then, it should not be as powerful as affecting multiple creatures as if they had starved for a week or so.

OOC - this is fluff on the apropo of having found a roughly matching non-core spell. This spell is NOT available in this game (not that I would find this too powerful...).
Ooc - Started rolling Fortitude saves lol

[OoC: When Toot uses his Spellcraft as a Free Action, if he thinks eating something will help, he will pop one of his Goodberries into his mouth.]

[OoC2: Goodberry: Each transmuted berry provides nourishment as if it were a normal meal for a Medium creature. The berry also cures 1 point of damage when eaten, subject to a maximum of 8 points of such curing in any 24-hour period.

Since this provides nourishment for a Medium creature it should super nourish a tiny creature.  If it won't work Toot will do something else.]
Lugar suffers 12 hp of nonlethal damage from starvation and thirst. He's fatigued, too tired to run, so he reconsiders walking around the mushrooms. (660 feet is 17 rounds on combat speed i.e. 2x20 feet per round).

Toot feels better after popping an instant energy berry. Now the tiny doodid is very, very thirsty.
OOC - lethal damage is cured by Goodberry but nonlethal damage caused by starvation/thirst are not cured by the berry.
Lugar growls from thirst and hunger, almost falling over from the sudden fatigue.  He looks around to see what could have caused him to feel this way suddenly.  Was there a spell caster nearby or something wicked in the air he wonders?  Fighting off the urge to guzzle his waterskin, Lugar instead attempts to hide and wait, sensing danger nearby.  Once he finds a suitable spot he looks for the rest of his party.
